Janet Jackson new album details
For her new album "20 Y.O.", Janet Jackson reunited with producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and was joined by her boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri. According to the singer the album takes her to a place where she has not been in a while R&B and dance. The album features samples from music that inspired Jackson 20 to 25 years ago. Besides dance tracks there are also some mid-tempo songs and some ballads.

The Breeders working with Nirvana producer again
The Breeders are working with Nirvana producer Steve Albini on their new album.
According to drummer Jose Medeles, the band will be recording the album in Los Angeles this month. Band members Kim and Kelley Deal will be heading into the studio to work on a couple songs in September, while Mando Lopez is filming footage for the accompanying DVD.

Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana aiming for doing an album together
Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana will be collaborating for a full album that is due early next year. Wayne and Santana recently enjoyed a successful mixtape collaboration that sparked the idea of doing a full album together. Meanwhile, Santana is is still working on his next solo album for which he says that he has some 75 songs done, but wants to expand to about 100 songs and select the best tracks for inclusion on his new effort. Lil Wayne is also working on his next album titled "Tha Carter III" and a collaboration with rapper Baby titled "Like Father, Like Son" is due October 10.

Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham finishing new album while working on next
Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham will release his first solo album in 14 years next month. The new album "Under The Skin" is due October 3 and includes two tracks featuring the Fleetwood Mac rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. The other eight tracks find Buckingham generating all the rhythm via his own percussive guitar playing. Buckingham wrote most of the material for his album on the road with Fleetwood Mac. Buckingham is also working on another new album, which will focus more on electric guitar-driven rock. Eight songs are completed for the second album already, which is due next year.

Akon working with Eminem and Snoop Dogg on new album
Akon will release his next album "Konvicted" on December 12. The album features collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Styles P and Eminem. Eminem stars on the lead single "Smack That". Since Akon’s successful debut album he has been a frequent guest contributor, appearing on projects by Rick Ross, Beenie Man and Obie Trice. He can also be heard on Monica's new album "The Makings Of Me" that is due October 3.

New Brian McKnight album to deature Jill Scott
Brian McKnight has collaborated with Rascal Flatts for the song "Red, White And Blue," which will be included on his new album "10". McKnight’s new effort will be out on November 14 and also features the likes of Jill Scott and songwriters Tim & Bob who contributed to first single "Used To Be My Girl," amongst others.
