Jamie Foxx back with
new album
Jamie Foxx’s new album "Intuition" is set for December 16. Foxx spent most of
the past two years working on "Intuition" and gathered a star-studded line-up of
guests and producers, including T.I. (on the first single "Just Like Me"), Kanye
West, the-Dream and Tricky Stewart, Ne-Yo, Fabolous and Timbaland. Besides the
first single off the album, the track "Number One" with Lil Wayne is promoted to
clubs, while "Blame It" with T-Pain, is set for release in January.
Will.i.am rumored to be working with U2
According to Kanye West, Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am is producing material
for the new U2 album, which has been delayed until next year. U2’s follow up to
2004’s “How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb” was originally planned for release this
year, but the album recently was still two songs short, so the release date was
pushed back. The new record is rumored to be titled “No Line On The Horizon.”
Brian Eno has also contributed production to the album, which is due early next
year now.
Diana Krall finishing new album while producing new
Barbra Streisand effort
Diana Krall has described her first album in three years as intimate, sensual
and erotic. Her new effort "Quiet Nights" is due March 31 and includes 10 songs,
among which three recordings of songs by bossa nova artist Antonio Carlos Jobim
and standards such as "Walk On By" by Burt Bacharach. Next to finishing on her
new album, Krall is producing a new Barbra Streisand album that is set to be
completed in January and released somewhere next year.
Black Eyed Peas working on new album concept
The Black Eyed Peas are planning a "music diary" album when the band releases
"The END" next March. Band leader Will.i.am has said that "The END" stands for
"The Energy Never Dies" which describes his model for a project that will be
living and frequently updated throughout its designated cycle. According to the
artist, when the album is released there will be 12 songs on it, but the next
day there could be 100 songs, 50 sketches, 1,000 blogs around. The band will try
to break away from the concept of a regular album. |
