Beyoncé album news
Producer Sean Garrett has been working with Beyoncé on her new album. It will
Beyoncé’s fourth studio album. Sean worked with the singer before on tracks like
"Get Me Bodied," "Diva" and "Video Phone". For her new effort Beyoncé has been
working with Darkchild, Rich Harrison, Los Da Mystro, Jim Jonsin and Ne-Yo and
the album’s sound is influenced by music from The Stylistics, Michael Jackson,
The Bee Gees, Lauryn Hill and Stevie Wonder.
Coldplay are finishing on new album
Coldplay are finishing work on their fifth studio album. The effort will be a
more acoustic, personal album, according to lead singer Chris Martin. Martin
said that the album will consist of clear, consistent themes, instead of being a
traditional concept album and is set for a fall release date. Coldplay's last
album "Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends" sold over 9 million copies
worldwide.
New Strokes album set for March 22 release date
The Strokes are set to release their new album on March 22. The as-yet untitled
album is the follow-up to “First Impressions Of Earth” from 2006. The 10-song
effort was produced by the band themselves.
New Ginuwine album
Ginuwine is preparing the release of his seventh studio album "Elgin." The album
features a collaboration with Miami rapper Trina. The album's first single is
titled "Break." "Elgin" is set for a February 15 release date.
Ladytron to release new EP and best of
Ladytron is planning to release a new 'Best Of' compilation later this year. 'Ladytron
00 – 10' is scheduled for release in March. Meanwhile, the band will also
release a new EP on March 14 in the Europe, containing remixes of their latest
single “Ace Of Hz.” Ladytron has released four albums so far, and are currently
in the studio working on their fifth. They also recently contributed material to
Christina Aguilera's new album “Bionic.”
Bootsy Collins working with Snoop Dogg and George
Clinton
Bootsy Collins is working on his first new album in five years. The effort will
be titled "Tha Funk Capitol Of The World" and is due on April 26. The bassist
and bandleader in the past worked with James Brown as well as Parliament and
Funkadelic and his own Rubber Band. The 16 new tracks were written and recorded
during the past two and a half years, according to Collins. They feature guest
appearances from George Clinton, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Public Enemy's Chuck D,
Musiq Soulchild, Bobby Womack and George Duke.
Staind to start work on new album
According to singer Aaron Lewis, Staind has started work on their seventh album.
Lewis has said that the band are "in the studio right now recording another
record." Right now Aaron Lewis is touring behind his debut solo album “Town
Line” as well as working with the band on the follow-up to “The Illusion Of
Progess” from 2008. Lewis has said that the new Staind sound is "heavy." The
band is working with Sevendust producer Johnny K on the new album. |
