New Jay-Z album set for
November 21 release date
Jay-Z's comeback album "Kingdom Come" has been confirmed for a November 21
release date. The release date for the first single "Show Me What You Got" off
the album is set for next week but has already leaked. On the album's title
track, Jay reassures his fans that he is back. "Kingdom Come" also features
appearances by Coldplay's Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams and Kanye West.
Keane to release official bootlegs
Keane are releasing live albums of their shows on the band's up coming UK tour.
The group will record each show they play and will then press CD’s so the
records will be available only ten minutes after the band come off stage. The
official bootlegs will be limited to 1000 for each show, but can also be
pre-ordered at http://concertlive.co.uk.
Meanwhile the band will release new single “Nothing In My Way” on October 30
U2 greatest hits
album
U2 have announced the title of their upcoming greatest-hits CD. “U218
Singles” will feature 16 old tracks and two new songs, including their Green Day
collaboration "The Saints Are Coming." All proceeds from their Green Day
collaboration, which is due on November 6, will go to Hurricane Katrina charity
Music Rising. The compilation will also feature a bonus CD with 10 live
performances from their 2005 Vertigo Tour.
New Prince single The Song of the Heart
The new Prince track "The Song of the Heart" will be the first single
from the "Happy Feet" soundtrack, and will be out October 31. Other tracks on
the album include Pink covering Rufus and Chaka Khan's "Tell Me Something Good,"
Patti LaBelle and Yolanda Adams and Fantasia collaborating on Stevie Wonder's "I
Wish." Main actors in the movie, Nicole Kidman, Robin Williams and Brittany
Murphy, also cover songs from artists like Elvis Presley, Queen and Prince.
Gwen Stefani working on new album
Gwen Stefani is working on new material with the intention to release her second
solo album before the end of the year. The as-yet-untitled album will include a
number of Pharrell Williams collaborations that didn't make it to her 2004 debut
album "Love.Angel.Music.Baby.” Stefani is also in the studio with her No Doubt
bandmate Tony Kanal, Akon and producer Swizz Beatz. A concert DVD, titled
"Harajuku Lovers Live," will also be released before the end of the year. |
