Enough new Van Halen material for new album, but no singer available
Eddie Van Halen says his band has two or three albums' worth of new material but the band are still without a singer. He also said the band continues to work on new material but cannot predict when Van Halen fans will hear it. Van Halen earlier declared that plans for a reunion with David Lee Roth seemed to fall apart after lawyers got involved and hadn’t spoken with Roth since last September. Rumors that Van Halen had rehired their original vocalist began shortly after the group's third singer, former Extreme frontman Gary Cherone, left the band in 1999. David did the singing duties on some of Van Halen's biggest hits, including "Jump" and "Panama," but he parted with the band in 1985. |
