New Bruce Springsteen
album titled Working On A Dream
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's new album will be titled "Working On A
Dream" and is set for a January 27 release date. The album includes 12 new songs
and bonus tracks "The Wrestler" (from the film of the same name) and "A Night
With The Jersey Devil". Springsteen worked with producer Brendan O'Brien again
on the new effort. The E Street Band was brought in on the recording sessions as
needed during tour breaks.
Paul McCartney to release previously unreleased
14-minute Beatles song
Paul McCartney has confirmed that a song recorded in 1967 by the Beatles titled
“Carnival Of Light” exists and may soon be released. The experimental 14-minute
song was recorded for an electronic music festival, but was never released.
Duriong a radio interview McCartney said that this rather freely recorded track
was pushed by Paul McCartney to be included on The Beatles' “Anthology” releases
in the '90s, was vetoed by the rest of the band.
New 50 Cent album pushed back to 2009
50 Cent's new album, "Before I Self Destruct," which originally was set for a
December 16 release date, has been pushed back to early 2009. The album features
production and guest spots by Dr. Dre and Eminem. Producer Scott Storch worked
on first single "Get Up." The upcoming new album will be bundled with a
full-length feature film of the same name, in which 50 Cent plays a basketball
player who becomes a criminal after his mother's murder. Early pressings of the
album will also include a second DVD with the documentary "Two Turntables And A
Microphone: The Life And Death Of Jam Master Jay," which 50 Cent executive
produced.
The Fray announce new album details
The Fray have announced details of their upcoming new album. The self-titled
follow-up to “How To Save A Life” from 2005 is due in the US on February 3. The
album contains 10 tracks and was produced by Mike Flynn and Aaron Johnson, who
also produced the band's debut album. The album's first single is the track “You
Found Me.”
Good Charlotte planning new album while releasing remix
effort
Good Charlotte is set to release their remix album "The Greatest Remixes" on
November 25. The effort was done by production remix team Dead Executives and
the band members themselves. Tracks on "The Greatest Remixes" were remixed by
such remixers as Junior Sanchez, Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump, Linkin Park's Joe
Hahn, Teddy Riley, The Academy Is..., the White Tie Affair, Metro Station and
Marshall Arts. The band’s own remix of "Keep Your Hands Off My Girl" features
Bubba Sparxx and Jung Tru. Another five remixes will be available via iTunes.
Meanwhile, Good Charlotte is planning their next album in Los Angeles with
producer Don Gilmore.
Outkast to release three albums in 2009
Outkast are set to release three new albums next year. The duo plan on releasing
solo albums first before releasing a new Outkast effort later in 2009. Outkast’s
Big Boi said that he is planning on releasing his second solo album “Sir Lucious
Leftfoot: The Son Of Chico Dusty” in January or February, with Andre 3000
releasing his solo album soon after. |
