Missy Elliott names new album
Missy Elliott’s new album will be titled “The Cook Book.” For her new effort
Missy Elliot worked with more producers than only long-time producer Timbaland
and also recruited Kwame, Rich Harrison and The Neptunes, who worked with Missy
on one of her first tracks. Ciara, Fatman Scoop, Slick Rick, Mary J. Blige and
Tweet are among the other artists Missy Elliot recorded with. “The Cook Book” is
set for a June 28 release.
Beatles songs covered as electronic tracks
Fourteen Beatles songs have been recorded as electronic tracks by well-known
electronica artists such as John Selway, Skylab 2000, EROS and Jay Atwood. The
album, titled “Beatles ReGrooved,” will be released on June 7 and features the
songs “Eleanor Rigby,” “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,” “Hey Jude” and “Let It
Be” among others.
New John Hiatt album features Allstars duo Cody and Luther Dickinson
Singer/songwriter John Hiatt has worked with Allstars duo Cody and Luther
Dickinson on his upcoming new album "Master of Disaster." The new album is due
on June 21 and was produced family patriarch Jim Dickinson. "Master of Disaster"
will be released as a Super Audio CD with a standard stereo mix as well as a
high-resolution mix playable only on SACD-compatible devices.
New
Backstreet Boys album Never Gone set for June release
The new Backstreet Boys album “Never Gone” will be released on June 14. “Never
Gone” is the first new album for the Backstreet Boys in 5 years following legal
issues with their record label. The album's title is a tribute to Kevin
Richardson's father who died of cancer in 1991. Max Martin, Five For Fightings
John Ondrasik and former Savage Garden frontman Darren Hayes are some of the
songwriters and producers on the album. First single off the album will be
“Incomplete.”
New Order makes
remixes of new single available online
New Order has made remixes of their new single “Krafty” available exclusively
for Internet downloads. “The Glimmers 12" Extended Remix" and "The Glimmers Dub
Version" as well as the "Phone Reality Remix" will be available from iTunes from
April 26. The original track features on the new New Order album “Waiting to the
Sirens.” |
