Deftones announce new
album and make free download available
The Deftones have announced details of their sixth studio album. The album will
be titled “Diamond Eyes” and will be available out May 18. It will be preceded
by a free download titled “Rocket Skates” that is available from the band's
official website, Deftones.com. “Diamond Eyes” will be the first Deftones
release with stand-in bass player Sergio Vega in place of Chi Cheng.
Lil Jon's Crunk Rock album set for June 8
Lil Jon has announced that he will release his solo debut album "Crunk Rock" on
June 8. The effort which will mix electro-house with hip-hop and R&B is the
producer's first release in over four years. "Crunk Rock" includes guest
appearances from Game, R. Kelly, 3OH!3, Pitbull, David Guetta, Soulja Boy, and
the Ying Yang Twins. The tracks "Ms. Chocolate" featuring R. Kelly and Mario and
"Outta Your Mind" featuring LMFAO have been released as singles.
Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Method Man announce new
album
The collaborative album between Wu Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah, Raekwon
and Method Man has been set for a March 30 release date. The set will be titled
“Wu-Massacre” and also includes appearances by Wu-Tang members Inspectah Deck
and Cappadonna, as well as production by RZA and Mathematics.
Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins working on new Coattail
Riders album
Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has enlisted an all-star cast for the second
album with his other band, Coattail Riders. The effort features Queen's Brian
May and Roger Taylor, who previously played with Foo Fighters at London's Hyde
Park in 2006, bandmate Dave Grohl and The Cars' guitarist Elliot Easton.
Coldplay set to release new album this year
Coldplay is set to release a new album in 2010, according to frontman Chris
Martin. The band are currently recording in their own studio in London. Chris
Martin has said he wants to release the album "hopefully this Christmas". He
added that the band is very security-conscious to make sure their new material
does not leak online. The album will be Coldplay's first since 2008's “Viva La
Vida Or Death And All His Friends.” |
