No Doubt reunite for tour and new album
No Doubt will be touring in 2009 while finishing on a new studio album. The new effort will be the first in seven years. No Doubt has been in the studio on and off throughout 2008. The group hasn't played live since mid-2004, and its last studio album was 2001's "Rock Steady." Since then, Gwen Stefani has released two solo albums, while the other group members have pursued solo and session work as well as producing.

Franz Ferdinand to tour behind new album
Franz Ferdinand have announced that they will be touring the US in December. The band are set to release their new album “Tonight: Franz Ferdinand” in the US on January 27. The band intend to preview several new songs at their live appearances.

OneRepublic preparing new album
According to OneRepublic guitarist Zach Filkins, the band is preparing for its next album. While on tour earlier this year, the band got inspired by a couple of songs and ended up creating new songs in Germany and Japan. The new material is a blend of rock mixed with pop. New track "All the Right Moves" has already had stage time. OneRepublic is planning to have the new album out by summer or fall 2009.

Neil Diamond and Rick Rubin preparing new Diamond album
While finishing his world tour, Neil Diamond is planning for his next album. According to the singer he recently met with Rick Rubin, who produced his last two albums and they have set a meeting for January 12. Diamond wants to start writing on the 12th therefore wants to sit down and talk about the concept of the new effort with Rubin. There's material left from previous albums, but Neil Diamnod and Rubin plan to start fresh.
